Neuroscience Office Hours, 140 Ames

May '08 Office Hours: Generally speaking, the office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm. If you need immediate assistance, the best and fasted way to get in touch with me is via email.

Out of office notices:

I will be out of the office on May 16, 2008.

Office will be closed on May 22, 2008 due to Commencement Day Events. I will be on campus for the duration of all events though.

B.A./M.S. in Neuroscience - Spring 2009 (4/24/2008)

For students who are considering the B.A./M.S. program for Spring 2009, we would like to encourage you to work on your proposal for research over the summer, as in the Fall 2008 we will begin the application/selection process. Only students who qualify will receive the application packet! You are welcome to come and see me, and discuss any issues/concerns. Here are some dates that you need to be aware of:

September 8, 2008 - email sent to all juniors and seniors about the Program and deadlines.

October 4, 2008 - applicaions due in the office by end of business day.

October 20 - 24, 2008 - applicant interviews.

October 27 - 30 - decisions made and applicants notified.

You are welcome to use the BA/MS hand book if you wish to read more about the application process and the program itself - please note that this is last year's information, and certain dates have changed. The handbook will be updated by June 15, 2008.

 

Rising Sophomore Woodrow Wilson Competition (posted 4/22/2008)

Cirriculum Committee search for student memebers (posted 4/22/2008)

The Johns Hopkins Curriculum Committee is seeking members for the 2008-2009 academic year.  Students serving on the committee will work with members of the faculty and administration to approve new majors and minors, determine distribution requirements, and make other important decisions that affect the academic climate at JHU.  Interested students should complete the attached application and submit it to jhucola@jhu.edu by Friday, May 2 at 5:00 PM.  Any questions should be directed to Chethan Mallela (chethan@jhu.edu).

 

Departmental Honors

Recommendation and proof of presentation MUST be submitted to 140 Ames,

to the Program Coordingator, Ms.Tchopev, by April 24, 2008, end of business day (4:30pm). NO exceptions. More on honors.

 

Neuroscience Social - May 4, 2008, 1pm - 6 pm, Dr.Gorman's home

If you are planning on riding on the bus, please make sure that you drop off your payment ($10) with the Office. Either check or cash would be fine. Also, if I am not here to take your deposit, enclose your payment in an evelope, write your name on it, and deposit in the black ballot box next to my office door. Your deposit will be returned to you upon arrival at Dr.Gorman's home.

Registration for 290.420 and 200.204 is as follows: beginning April 8, 2008 at 8:30 A.M. To register for 290.420, please see Bobbie Tchopev in 140 Ames, for 200.204 please see Hope Stein in 204 Ames Hall. Please bring a registration slip.
